Erin is a graduate of Appalachian State University where she received her Bachelors and Masters degree in Communication Disorders. Erin worked with a variety of populations during school in a variety of different settings. The most facinating and challenging setting she experienced was working with adults who had severe mental and physical disabilties in Morganton, NC. At this site Erin learned a lot about alternative means of communication and how to evaluate and execute plans to create a more effective means of communication for each individual. Erin worked with adults in a rehab hospital setting during her final practicum and realized that she greatly missed working with children. Since completing her clinical fellowship year under the supervision and training of Tracy Vail, she realized she had a great passion for working with children with autism and apraxia.
