Do you work with childeren with disorders other than autism?
One question we’ve been frequently asked is whether or not we work with children with communication disorders other than autism. The answer is a resounding “YES!” Since the field of speech/language pathology is so diverse, we understand that it is not feasible for every SLP to be an expert in every disorder. We encourage all of our therapists to choose an area of specialty and learn as much as they can about the area. We have therapists that gained expertise in apraxia of speech, fluency disorders, childhood language disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, feeding disorders, social/pragmatic communication disorders, dysarthria resulting from CP or other neurological conditions, voice disorders and articulation disorders. You can trust that if you bring your child to us, we will connect you with the right therapist. If we don’t have a therapist with the particular area of expertise, we will refer you to one who does.
