Sensory Integration

At Let's Talk, our occupational therapists are trained to address the sensory difficulties of children with Autism.  We first determine how the child is experiencing the world and how these sensory differences are affecting daily life.  We then come up with a plan to improve the sensory functioning of the child.  While some direct therapy can help, we recognize the need for the child to have a sensory diet to allow them to be the most "available" for learning in all of their daily life.  We work closely with families and schools to help each specific child according to their unique sensory profile.
